Wow, a Post That's Not About The Roleplay??

damn, this is weird. I basically made this blog for Divided, but as you can (hopefully) remember, I did say that it was also going to have some personal stuff too. So, today, I'm just gonna ramble about this year's Banzai, and also Halloween.

So, last year, maybe you remember my four (five? idk) posts about Banzai, and my cosplays, and the struggles and the fun times and all that. Well, that time is rolling around again! I'm excited but also nervous as hell to go, because for one, this year, I'm sticking with Tori and their friends only. Because of the fact that Alix, Madison, and Sara all can't go, Siri decided that it wasn't worth it, and now Allie doesn't really seem like she wants to go. So I'm ah, I'm really bummed out about that. *sighs* I wish we could all go. Last year it was really fun to be with all my friends and hang out. Oh well. Maybe I convince Allie to still go...?

But, besides that, let's get onto the part that I wanna ramble about. My cosplays. Talking to some of my friends, I found out that some are taking around like, eight cosplays with them. Like, no thanks. I would prefer not to have to lug all that around and have to deal with changing in the middle of the day. But, perhaps, I might have more than three cosplays this time 'round.

So, this year, I'm gonna be kinda dull. I'm gonna be actual Aradia this time, unlike last year (which was a sucky try at human Aradia). I even got my horns and fixed my shirt!!!! I'm so excited to try and be her this year. Next, I'm going to try and be fem!Karkat. What I wanna try and do is find a turtleneck black sweater (hopefully it won't be super hot there) and then get grey jeans and grey paint, and paint the turtleneck. I'll most likely use my Aradia wig, and just pull it into a braid or pigtails, I dunno yet. I'm also gonna try and pull back my Crockercorp Jade this year (yeah, I know, lame reusing cosplays). I just have the slight issue that my friend took my skirt so uh, hopefully I'll get that back. Ahaha. *shifts a little*

But, I also am starting to pull together another cosplay! Recently, I lost my heart and my soul to a show called Gravity Falls. My heart was taken by the main character, Dipper Pines, the dorky and nerdy and paranoid noodle kid. So, I wanted to try and take a stab at cosplaying fem!Dipper! I have the hat, shorts, and hair to do it. I just need the vest and the shirt, and then I'm set, I suppose.

Anywho, I'm a bit scared and nervous about this year's Banzai. Hopefully I won't be pulled into the drama there and end up crying and having a breakdown (like so many do o~o)

Next on my agenda is Halloween. I'm panicky about that thing. Idk what to do for it. I might do fem!Dipper (most likely, if I can't pull it together by Banzai), or maybe do Charlie Brown ghost (but that's pretty lame), but I also really really really wanna do a cheshire cat kinda thing. but that's kinda hard to do with all the dressing and then the makeup (I wanna do the cool mouth thing), and I probably wouldn't be able to trick or treat in that costume. So, maybe I'll just do fem!Dipper. Idk man. I'm panicky. q-q

So yeah, that's all on my mind. I should be focusing on school, but nope. It's cosplay month. WOO.

OH! A final note. Allie wanted all of us to go to Banzai, and cosplay our characters. So she'd be Anthony, I'd be Bea, Sara would be Shade, Siri would be Lizzie, Alix would be Shi (you haven't really met her), and Madison would be Skyler (nor her). Allie already has most of her cosplay put together and she's ho t. I would like to cosplay Bea too. Maybe someday...*looks off into the distance* . . . what was the point of this paragraph? I dunno. Just a little thought of mine. ANYWAY! Until next time!!!!! :D

More Cosplay! (Part Four - Final)

Hey guys! So this is gonna be the last part to my epic adventure to Banzai. It was my first time ever going all three days, and I am so glad I went through the hardships to be able to do that. ...Wow, that sounded really dramatic. Huh. Well, anwho, let's get started.

Last we left off I was on the freezing floor of my hotel room, being kicked off the couch. So we all woke up, and they noticed I was off the bed, I was invited in, and I snuggled under the covers for a minute or two to regain some of my body warmth. Everyone was slowly getting up, starting to take showers or go to the bathroom. I got up eventually and followed after a friend to the lobby where a lot of people were, sitting and eating breakfast. Once we ate we went back up, and then the race was gone.

Now, unlike at Siri's house where it was nice, calm, and really slow (no one but me was cosplaying that day. (well, except for Allie but she was reusing her Friday outfit)), the hotel room was a flurry. Everyone I stayed with was serious about cosplay so they all had makeup kits out, fake blood, clothing galore, and wigs. To my right Sierra was getting her wings ready for Davesprite (here's a picture), to my left Emma was putting makeup on to make it look like she was in a fisticuffs. I myself had a bit of a challenge that day; I was cosplaying something I was new to, which was CrockerCorp Jade. A few posts ago I posted a picture of here so you can go see that. Anyways, what I had to get was my skirt, shirt, high socks, shoes, wig, makeup.

My wig, first of all, was a complete mess and I wanted to try and use Emma's wig but it didn't feel comfortable. So I hurried and brushed the mess into a somewhat okay wig. Next, my shirt and skirt.

Emma told me I could use her petticoat, which actually looked really good with it, but at the same time, was waaay too big for me. Not to mention, no one could properly pin it so that it didn't fall. So I gave up on that.
After everyone was basically complete, people started leaving, and it was just Sierra, Tori's mom, and Will.

We started to clean up the messy room a bit, checking for personal items. Sierra was freaking out because her cosplay wasn't even completely done. So I multitasked, cleaning while helping Sierra finish. I also had to help her get white paint on her body, which was...interesting. But finally, I was done, and my cosplay was awesome. Here's a picture of me in the hotel room and all my glory:

I felt pretty sweet. So we left and we went around, taking photos, talking, blah blah. It was nerve-wracking because everyone knew everyone except for me, so I kinda just stood there, doing nothing. Sometimes I would engage in a conversation, and it'd be awesome, but it'd fade. But, there were some highlights, such as Dave and John being married off, with Karkat as the priest. And it was filmed. And it was epic. Then there was another time when I felt like I was a cool kid when a jug of AJ (apple juice) was passed around and we got to sip from it. hehe.

But my favorite part of the day was the photoshoot. We all met on these stairs in the back of the building, where people would take pictures and such. My friend's brother, Juan, was there and he had a fancy smancy camera, along with my friend Lindsey. We started the photoshoot, taking wicked awesome pictures of everyone's cosplays. Tori dressed as Dirk (from Homestuck), when he gets decapitated, Emma was fisticuffs Jake (with gold guns too oooooh), Lindsey was Doomed! Dave, Sierra, Davesprite, and our friend was the odd one out with a fem!Captain Jack Sparrow. So here, Imma spam you with the awesome result pictures.

The rest of the day was just us driving home, which ended with me falling asleep. But when I got home, I was tired as heckie but also, I was really happy. I made a lot of friends over three days, and it was just awesome. All in all, I really liked the con and I can't wait for the next one!!! :D Thanks for reading!

More Cosplay! (Part Three)

My gosh! Sorry guys, I almost completely forgot about this thing, I was so caught up in posting my Vital Vocabs, I guess it just got away from me. Anyways, hello friends! Here's the new installment of my adventures of Banzai.
So last we left off, I had a terrible night's sleep because of my friends, and the next morning Madison left and was replaced with Sara (and Gabe)! So we were rudely awoken at an ungodly time, and had to get ready. That day, Saturday, I was going to be Human!Aradia. The reason it's human is because Aradia is actually a troll, with horns and grey skin. Here's a picture:

Anyways, the reason I was doing Human!Aradia is because I didn't have her horns yet (they are really hard to make because they're big ram horns bluh), and I don't really know how to paint my skin grey yet. At least, without getting it smudged EVERYWHERE. So anywho, I made the shirt and used my Jade wig and skirt. I'm good at reusing. :3 Here's what the shirt looked like:

This is really the only picture I have of this cosplay. I gave up half way through the day.

So as we left I had to take everything with me because I was staying with Tori that night. When we got there, it was hopping and it was beautiful. With nice weather and fun games, and a rave to look forward to that night, I was excited. The day went uneventful (except for me almost killing Sara), and at the end of the day, we hit the rave.
Now, the rave was held in a massive room and the lights were blinking. Lots of people were there, along with Slenderman, and a DJ that looked exactly like David Tennant, 10th Doctor clothes and all. He was pretty attractive. So we danced, and danced, until it was around 11:30. Then my friends had to go and I had to get to the hotel room. But when we got outside, I ah, I hit the wall. When I hit the wall, I get really dumb and silly, as if I'm drunk. I'd spin around and laugh and fall over. My friends knew they couldn't leave me there so they dragged my butt to my hotel and sent me up the elevator. As soon as the doors closed, I fell over.
That woke me up. I felt really embarrassed but I managed to swallow it down as I made my way to the hotel room. Now, if you've ever been to a con, you'll know staying in a hotel equals a heck of a mess with all of your cosplay. Now, take that, and add about...eight people. And make the room the size of a school bathroom. Yeah, that's where I was staying. I was on the pull out couch and two others slept with me. But that wasn't exactly all.
When we all hit the hay, ah...the girl next to me was a restless sleeper. And by that I mean, she pushed me right to the edge of the bed. I basically had one leg on the bed the other off. Eventually I sighed and slowly and quietly got out of the bed and grabbed my cat pillow, stuck him on the floor, pulled my thin jacket over me, and slept on the freezing, hard ground. Worst sleep than at Siri's house, really. When morning came no one really noticed I was on the floor until the girl who pushed me off looked over and gasped.
"Oh gosh, did you sleep on the ground? Are you cold? Come on, get up here and be warm!"
I'm going to stop here because I realized I ah, I really rambled. Next time I'll talk about my final day at Banzai with my crazy morning, hanging out with complete strangers, and having a photoshoot!! Bye, guys!

More Cosplay! (Part Two)

Last time we met up, I was explaining how horrible making my costume was, and how stressful it was to make it in the short time I had. Now, we move on to a more easy topic, how my cosplays were at Banzai!
So, the night before I left, I was panicking on how to pack my stuff. What was happening for the con is that I had to bring a bag of stuff to my friend Siri's house, because everyone going was gonna have a sleepover at her house. But, the next day, I had to lug my stuff down to the con with me because I was staying for Sunday as well. To do that, I had to ask my friend if I could stay with her at her hotel.
So, I decided on the most practical (not really) thing to do. I stacked my different cosplays, got separate bags, and stuffed them in there. Why? Because, it helped keep things together and it was less messy (yeah, right).
So the next morning I got up early, and started getting ready. Things were going awesome, my wig was doing awesome, I got help from my brother Alex with packing, and things were going smoothly. So, I'll show you what Jade looks like, and what my cosplay looked like.

Isn't she such a cutie?? Augh. Anywho, here's a picture of what my cosplay was.

Image is miiiine! No stealing :c
There was a bump in my wig from my hair so I fixed it with a hat! I thought it looked good. :3 So that was my first day. My friends I went with cosplayed as Fem!Scar, from Lion King, and Fem!Anthony, a character Allie came up with. Everything was pretty good that day, minus having a scratchy scalp at the end. We also went to a ball, where I put my wig hair to the side (which it looked actually pretty good!), and put on a black dress with green accessories.
At the end, we were picked up and headed home for the sleepover.
Really, I was the only one who was tired. Apparently the hosts of the sleepover got chips and soda and pizza, which everyone ate except for me. Why? Maybe because it was twelve AM in the fricking morning. They were all loud while I was trying to sleep, but finally everyone quieted down and we fell asleep.
Eight or nine hours later wer were awoken, and it was time to get ready for the next day of Banzai. My friends suck at the concept of cosplay so I was the only one who had a new cosplay. To make me feel less weird, Allie also put on her Fem!Anthony cosplay. But then there was a new twist arising. Madison, a girl who went with us, decided she didn't want to go again. She was too tiiiireeedd. *mutters* Lame. So, we called up a friend and she came over, took Madison's pass, and then Siri's brother decided he wanted to go too.
So, that was all decided. I'll tell you all about Saturday and my cosplay of Aradia Megido next time! Until then, happy holidays, and happy new year!

More Cosplay! (Part One)

Okay, so I've been thinking, and thinking some more. The last post about cosplay wasn't my favorite. It was actually pretty lame. So this time, I think I'm gonna add meeee into it! I've always loved to cosplay, even though it's a huge hassle. Why, you ask? Well lemme tell you a story.
Just last October was Anime Banzai. I was pumped for it, then realized I had to get my cosplay together, or else I would be a freak in the crowd. So planning I went. There are three days in Banzai, so one cosplay per day would be perfect for me. Some of my friends even had two to three per day!
Anywho, so I decided to go with my main fandom, Homestuck. If you don't know what that is, my friend did a post aaaaall about it. So, I started thinking. Which characters should I choose out of the millions Homestuck provides? I ended up choosing two of my favorite characters, Aradia Megido and Jade Harley. Only change I made was to do human!Aradia. That means I didn't want to paint my skin grey, like a troll.
So I had two days down. I decided to do a spin off of Jade as CrockerCorp Jade. CrockerCorp is basically Betty Crocker. Who is evil (watch out, dessert lovers). Here's a picture reference.

Jade and Aradia were pretty basic. All I had to do was use my grey skirt I had, get a black wig, and a shirt for each. I was rocking with that (even got a whip for Aradia!), but there was one issue: CrockerCorp. There was nothing that I could just use for it, so I had to make it from scratch. And lemme tell you, that. Is. Horrible.
I got this big red skirt and white shirt, white stockings and red glasses. Then I got a crap ton of white fabric paint. So one night I was with my friend, and I got down to business. I laid out my skirt, and guess what I had to do? I had to paint a big *ss spoon all around it. Yeah, I know. *sigh*
I gave up on being nice and clean, getting dirty and painted, making a mess all over. I ended up painting my carpet. Anyway, I finally finished, let it dry, then put a second coat over.
At last, I was done. The night before the con, I packed up, grabbing all of my stuff, and ended up putting a little red spoon on my shirt. And so, I was all ready to go the con, and to meet the new anger and stress of dealing with cosplay.

I'm going to post about at the con next time, just 'cause I realize now that I'm totally ranting, so uh, yeah. STAY TUNED FOR BAILEY AT THE CON!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
WILL SHE DIE?
FIND OUT SOON!
