So, ah, in my English class, we're doing things called Vital Vocabs, which is basically where we get big words, a grammar thing (such as a semicolon), and two homophones. And then we had to put it into writing so it looked like we knew how to use them. Some examples are on Allie's blog (she writes really good ones, though short, still good. And it follows a plot and stuff! :o). And I'm actually kinda proud of some of my Vital Vocabs, so I'm gonna post them on here sometimes.
I'm gonna start with my most recent (and longest one), which is probably the first domino to knock down in a small series for this. I like the plot and idea I gave it. So, here it is!
I ran down the street, making sure to keep a good grip on the bag dangling by my legs. I glanced back, grinned at the two chasing me, and ran faster, cutting a corner. My breathing was hard, my heart hammering in my chest as I leapt, skimming past the top of the fence in front of me, and cleared the jump. My feet hit the ground and I paused, seeing the two come around the corner.
“Stop, Bea!” The man shouted, his eyes full of alarm and concern. He was reaching into his pocket.... I smirked, sticking my tongue out them.
“Sorry, Anthony, Shade. But it’s too late for me to stop.” I said, my usual grin turning cold. I winked at them, then started running again, my feet echoing around the alley. Soon, I was gone, the bag holding Army jewels with me. Plan Rebel, instigated.
–
“Dammit Anthony, you should’ve let me go after her! I could’ve talked her out of it!” I shouted, stomping my foot. The tall man was leaning against the fence, running a hand through his hair as he tried to catch his breath.
“Shade, you know she was set. You know she wasn’t going to listen.” He said, his voice full of defeat. I growled, and kicked the fence, hard.
“That’s not true! The only reason she did this is because Tyler, Lizzie, all of them were so full of irreverence towards her! They made her reckless....” My mind was a blur, my thoughts inundating me. I shoved them down, swallowing the lump in my throat. “We have to go after her, we have to calm her, we...we....I can’t lose her like that.” I said finally, slumping against the alley wall. “She’s my best friend....” Anthony sighed, pushing himself off the fence.
“I know, Shade. You’re not the only one who’s close to her, we’ve spent plenty of ti–” I snapped my head up at him, my glare piercing him.
“Just because you’ve talked to her and probably gotten into her head doesn’t mean you know her like I do!” I snarled, interjecting him. I felt my throat constrict as Anthony looked away. “Sorry. I’m sorry. I just...She knows me like the back of her hand, I want to believe I’m the only one who knows her the best.” I said quietly, putting my forehead to my knees.
After a moment, he sighed again, shaking his head. “Don’t worry, Shade. We’ll get her.” It occurred to me that Bea was bound to have passed the Army’s boundaries by now. Someone probably found that the jewels were gone...A chill passed through me.
“Anthony....” I murmured, standing up again. I felt sick, and swallowed the lump in my throat. He looked up at me, frowning.
“What? What is it?” I looked at him, fearing bubbling up inside. If the leaders found out that their jewels were gone...they would send people out to....
“Anthony,” I said, latching onto the fence and climbing over. “Anthony, you told me that the Army is really strict. That they had no mercy for Shadows.” I said, dropping down. “And we both know that the Army is good at looking for people.”
Anthony looked at me, lost. “Y...Yeah...?” He said slowly, climbing over the fence as well. He dropped down besides me. I started walking.
“So, so if they find Bea...that’s stealing jewels and treason.” I insinuated, my walking getting faster and faster, until I was running. Anthony started running too, apparently catching on.
“They’ll treat her horribly, brutally, and cruelly. Th–they might kill her on the spot.” I said, now sprinting in the direction she went, Anthony matching my speed.
We need to find her.

More Cosplay! (Part Two)
Last time we met up, I was explaining how horrible making my costume was, and how stressful it was to make it in the short time I had. Now, we move on to a more easy topic, how my cosplays were at Banzai!
So, the night before I left, I was panicking on how to pack my stuff. What was happening for the con is that I had to bring a bag of stuff to my friend Siri's house, because everyone going was gonna have a sleepover at her house. But, the next day, I had to lug my stuff down to the con with me because I was staying for Sunday as well. To do that, I had to ask my friend if I could stay with her at her hotel.
So, I decided on the most practical (not really) thing to do. I stacked my different cosplays, got separate bags, and stuffed them in there. Why? Because, it helped keep things together and it was less messy (yeah, right).
So the next morning I got up early, and started getting ready. Things were going awesome, my wig was doing awesome, I got help from my brother Alex with packing, and things were going smoothly. So, I'll show you what Jade looks like, and what my cosplay looked like.

There was a bump in my wig from my hair so I fixed it with a hat! I thought it looked good. :3 So that was my first day. My friends I went with cosplayed as Fem!Scar, from Lion King, and Fem!Anthony, a character Allie came up with. Everything was pretty good that day, minus having a scratchy scalp at the end. We also went to a ball, where I put my wig hair to the side (which it looked actually pretty good!), and put on a black dress with green accessories.
At the end, we were picked up and headed home for the sleepover.
Really, I was the only one who was tired. Apparently the hosts of the sleepover got chips and soda and pizza, which everyone ate except for me. Why? Maybe because it was twelve AM in the fricking morning. They were all loud while I was trying to sleep, but finally everyone quieted down and we fell asleep.
Eight or nine hours later wer were awoken, and it was time to get ready for the next day of Banzai. My friends suck at the concept of cosplay so I was the only one who had a new cosplay. To make me feel less weird, Allie also put on her Fem!Anthony cosplay. But then there was a new twist arising. Madison, a girl who went with us, decided she didn't want to go again. She was too tiiiireeedd. *mutters* Lame. So, we called up a friend and she came over, took Madison's pass, and then Siri's brother decided he wanted to go too.
So, that was all decided. I'll tell you all about Saturday and my cosplay of Aradia Megido next time! Until then, happy holidays, and happy new year!

More Cosplay! (Part One)
Okay, so I've been thinking, and thinking some more. The last post about cosplay wasn't my favorite. It was actually pretty lame. So this time, I think I'm gonna add meeee into it! I've always loved to cosplay, even though it's a huge hassle. Why, you ask? Well lemme tell you a story.
Just last October was Anime Banzai. I was pumped for it, then realized I had to get my cosplay together, or else I would be a freak in the crowd. So planning I went. There are three days in Banzai, so one cosplay per day would be perfect for me. Some of my friends even had two to three per day!
Anywho, so I decided to go with my main fandom, Homestuck. If you don't know what that is, my friend did a post aaaaall about it. So, I started thinking. Which characters should I choose out of the millions Homestuck provides? I ended up choosing two of my favorite characters, Aradia Megido and Jade Harley. Only change I made was to do human!Aradia. That means I didn't want to paint my skin grey, like a troll.
So I had two days down. I decided to do a spin off of Jade as CrockerCorp Jade. CrockerCorp is basically Betty Crocker. Who is evil (watch out, dessert lovers). Here's a picture reference.
Jade and Aradia were pretty basic. All I had to do was use my grey skirt I had, get a black wig, and a shirt for each. I was rocking with that (even got a whip for Aradia!), but there was one issue: CrockerCorp. There was nothing that I could just use for it, so I had to make it from scratch. And lemme tell you, that. Is. Horrible.
I got this big red skirt and white shirt, white stockings and red glasses. Then I got a crap ton of white fabric paint. So one night I was with my friend, and I got down to business. I laid out my skirt, and guess what I had to do? I had to paint a big *ss spoon all around it. Yeah, I know. *sigh*
I gave up on being nice and clean, getting dirty and painted, making a mess all over. I ended up painting my carpet. Anyway, I finally finished, let it dry, then put a second coat over.
At last, I was done. The night before the con, I packed up, grabbing all of my stuff, and ended up putting a little red spoon on my shirt. And so, I was all ready to go the con, and to meet the new anger and stress of dealing with cosplay.
I'm going to post about at the con next time, just 'cause I realize now that I'm totally ranting, so uh, yeah. STAY TUNED FOR BAILEY AT THE CON!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
WILL SHE DIE?
FIND OUT SOON!

Poetry Of Mine :3
Okay, so, in my English class, we're starting our poetry unit, which I'm very excited about.
I've always been in love with poetry (usually free verse and with emotion, though), and I've written some of my own. So, um, if it's okay with you guys, then I...shall post some. *nods* Mhm. Yep.

Speaking My Mind
When I’m alone, I think.
When I think, I start to form words.
But then, those words become bigger and bigger; more and more.
I begin to thread those words together, into long lines.
As if it was popcorn on a string during Christmas.
Thread and thread.
Those words slowly become sentences.
And then a final phrase.
A phrase of words that mean something.
Some people may call that poetry.
A work of art.
I simply call it
Speaking
My
Mind.
Secrets
Secrets
A simple word
I tell you a secret, and you tell me a secret
But the simplicity of that word
It does not even begin to explain the meaning
The consequences of breaking a promise
How much it can spread if it leaves your mouth
People today act without thinking
And when you don’t think
You may just slip out a secret
And then the dominos slowly fall
Knocking over each other, a chain reaction
And like that
You may just lose the one who told you that secret
The meaning of a secret
Is almost a promise
Something that shouldn’t be broken
A simple word with a massive meaning
Secrets
My Life
It’s funny
I live two lives
One at school
And one at home
A thief
And a beggar
Both looking for attention
One who steals the spotlight
And one who yearns to be in it
Funny indeed
My life
Sorry, ah, I guess it's a bit serious. For such a...not serious blog....But, yeah! I sometimes get a little sad and so I start to get creative in my head, and that stuff just...pops up. It's pretty cool, no? If you're looking for more poetry, and probably better poetry than mine, I found a site that's full of things all about poetry. Anyways, until next time, my lovelies~

Cossssssplay!
So, to start off with my new boundaries, I think I’m gonna talk about...Cosplay. Cosplay is when you take a fictional character, whether it be from a movie, book, show, anime, webcomic, whatever, and you dress up as them. Cosplay is a loose term because some people might just dress up in clothes they own, and say that it’s something the character would wear. Then there’s the extreme cosplayers. Those people go out, get materials they need, (right color, right material) and they sew the costume themselves. Also, they get wigs, props, maybe even contacts, to look exactly as the character.
Whatever you’re gonna make, you need to have a basis: What does the character look like? For this cosplay post, I’m going to take something that a lot of people might know Wolverine. For those who don’t know who that is (you poor, poor souls), this is a picture:

This man is widely known, and also cosplayed by a lot of people. For this example, I’m not going to take the comic book version (wearing yellow and such), but the Hugh Jackman one.
To start off, you need to get a wig, most likely. This cosplay is better for males who have this kind of hairstyle, and also the facial hair. If you do, just style it like his. If you don’t purchase a wig from a store, online or not. Though most wigs are expensive, some are not; be careful though, they might be low quality. Next, to be like Jackman yet save money, you could just wear jeans with rips in them, and a wife beater.
Next, the hardest part, the claws. There are many ways to do them, and although I don’t really know myself, you could probably just paper mache them, and spray paint them silver.
CAUTION: Do not use actual blades for this. You won’t be able to get anywhere, because real weapons are not allowed. If you do, make sure to dull the blade! If it’s sharp enough to cut, it’s a real weapon.
If you’re a girl and wanting to cosplay him, then do the fem! version. Basically, try to imagine the girl version, with long brown hair and probably wearing something over the wife beater. For a wig, just get a long brown wig. Duh. If you want to really be in the character, try to get contacts that are brown, seeing as he has brown eyes. A good site to get contacts would be at Honey Color. They specialize in realistic looking contacts.
Oh gosh I totally lost track, didn’t I? I guess I just gave you directions to cosplay the Wolverine. (・−・;)But uh, yeah, that’s cosplay...ahaha.....seeyounexttime! *runs away*

Merp.
Okay, so, I know, I know, you can all prepare the tomatos and angry rants towards me. You might have notice the changes I already made. I'm... *dramatic pause* .............I'm changing my blog, juuuuust a teeny tiny bit. Yes, I'm going to keep posting music, yes you will get to listen to new genres, but also, I need to make this blog something fun for me, not tedious and...blah. I need to make it so that this isn't a chore, which right now, it is. :\ So, most of the time you shall get music, but I'm also going to mix in a little of me. Why, you may ask? Well, you know...I'm narcissistic. *weak grin*
I promise the things I'm going to add to this blog isn't going to be bad, really. Just, I might have little rants about my life (usually about cosplay, Homestuck, fictional characters, or all of the above), art that I'm doing, and even sometimes my poetry with an explanation and maybe a story. That doesn't sound too bad...does it?
If you don't like what I'm doing, then by all means, leave. After all, this blog isn't made to suit what you fancy. Anywho, I'll be posting more often, now that I've stretched my boundaries. You all have fun with the crazy, special lady that is...me. So, have fun! Byeee~

Demons, by Imagine Dragons
![]() |

For my next song, I want to take it back to some personal stuff. The next song is Demons, by Imagine Dragons. Why it’s personal to me is for many reasons. The first one is because it’s the song that is for the book I’m writing with my close friends. We’ve started this book a year ago, and it’s grown and grown, becoming a big part of our lives. I’ve just grown attached to this song, I guess.
The next reason why it’s personal to me is because of the lyrics. I looked up some meanings, and there are many, but one struck me. I found that a lot of people relate this to their darkness inside them. The lyrics depict that maybe you’ve been hurt in the past, or maybe you’ve been thinking bad things. It talks about how the monster inside of you wants to be helped, but you’re afraid to burden yourself onto people, or you just are afraid to talk about it.
Don’t get too close
It’s dark inside
It’s where my demons hide
It’s where my demons hide
I like to think that it could also have to do with love. Maybe you love someone so much, but you’re afraid to be with them because you don’t want to be hurt, or maybe you don’t want to be hurt. So, you let them go.
Don't wanna let you down
But I am hell bound
Though this is all for you
Don't wanna hide the truth
Anyway, you can interpret this song in so many ways. Or maybe, you don’t even have to. The music and song itself is a beautiful song, and it can give you chills from the first time you listen to it. If you want to know more about this band’s music and other songs, you can go to Imagine Dragons’s website. Thanks for tuning in guys!

Icarus, By Bastille
![]() |

The song always spiked my interest with the familiar title, and when I looked it up, I remembered that Icarus is actually a Greek legend. The legend was that Icarus and his father, Daedalus, were stuck on Crete. Crete is the island off of Greece. Anyway, so the story is that the father made wings out of wax, and the two escaped the island. Icarus, on the other hand, was so excited, so elated, he flew closer and closer to the sun, and his wings melted. Icarus plummeted to the Earth below, and was never found. It was clear that he had died though.
You may be wondering, what the heck does this have to do with the song?! Well, lemme tell you. The song doesn't have to do with Icarus at all, really. If you look at the lyrics, you would agree.
I interpret this song in a way that some might not. I think that really, this song is talking about just how short our lives are. Although, this isn't a You Only Live Once (YOLO) case. No, this is quite the opposite.
Look who's digging their own grave
That is what they all say
You'll drink yourself to death
In this, it's saying that while you continue to drink and drink, you'll eventually just die, not doing anything with your life but drinking. This song is telling you about how if you're a party animal all your life, being stupid and losing your innocence (Your hands protect the flames / From the wild winds around you), you won't get anything done; you'll always be a party animal. Everything about this song is talking about how bad the YOLO saying is, and how just wasting your life will bring an early grave; not a grave for your life, but for your soul, and personality.
Icarus is flying too close to the sun
Icarus's life, it has only just begun
This is how it feels to take a fall
Icarus is flying towards an early graveFriday, September 20, 2013
Why I'm Here, You Ask?
Hello! I just want to go into detail about the reasons why I'm here, what inspired my reason of starting this, and then give a description of what the blog is going to look like. To start, the reason I'm here is just to have people like music. I know so many people that have such limited music tastes, even down to one artist. So my goal is to try to get you people to try new music of different varieties, from Bubblegum Pop to Electronic to Country to Dubstep. I want to someday try to become a big site that people actually recommend to, and I also just want people to like different music types. Different artists, different albums, different songs. Just to try new things. I know some blogs that have become so popular, such as www.music.com, www.pandora.com, and other smaller blogs like www.consequenceofsound.net. All are amazing sites, and all are really good at finding music related things, like songs, videos, and music events. I'm mainly going to try to be a mix of Pandora and Music.com, though, because I like to show people the songs and videos more than just events. Things like that have never spiked my interest, for I am far too lazy to go out to those events. Just listening to music and watching the music videos is quite enough for me. What is going to be different about what I do form those two sites is that I'm going to not just have the song there to listen to, I'm going to link it to another awesome site, www.grooveshark.com. There, you can easily listen to the song. Also, I'm going to review it, give a little information on the artist/band, talk about the album it's on, and then sometimes post a link to the video. I can't wait to get this site going and have songs all across the board, but anyways, until then, thank you for viewing my blog! See you around, my lovely and amazing viewers!

She's Alive
Hey, so, this is just my first post. I have absolute no organization right now, but I will soon. Basically, this blog is going to be reviewing music, mainly songs, sometimes artists themselves. I'm a big fan of music and some people I know have no taste in music at all. It's horrifying. So I'm here to find people with no good music, or maybe just people with the want to find new music, and to show them music of different sorts. I'll see you around!
