Cossssssplay!

So, to start off with my new boundaries, I think I’m gonna talk about...Cosplay. Cosplay is when you take a fictional character, whether it be from a movie, book, show, anime, webcomic, whatever, and you dress up as them. Cosplay is a loose term because some people might just dress up in clothes they own, and say that it’s something the character would wear. Then there’s the extreme cosplayers. Those people go out, get materials they need, (right color, right material) and they sew the costume themselves. Also, they get wigs, props, maybe even contacts, to look exactly as the character.
Whatever you’re gonna make, you need to have a basis: What does the character look like? For this cosplay post, I’m going to take something that a lot of people might know Wolverine. For those who don’t know who that is (you poor, poor souls), this is a picture:

This man is widely known, and also cosplayed by a lot of people. For this example, I’m not going to take the comic book version (wearing yellow and such), but the Hugh Jackman one.
To start off, you need to get a wig, most likely. This cosplay is better for males who have this kind of hairstyle, and also the facial hair. If you do, just style it like his. If you don’t purchase a wig from a store, online or not. Though most wigs are expensive, some are not; be careful though, they might be low quality. Next, to be like Jackman yet save money, you could just wear jeans with rips in them, and a wife beater.
Next, the hardest part, the claws. There are many ways to do them, and although I don’t really know myself, you could probably just paper mache them, and spray paint them silver.
CAUTION: Do not use actual blades for this. You won’t be able to get anywhere, because real weapons are not allowed. If you do, make sure to dull the blade! If it’s sharp enough to cut, it’s a real weapon.
If you’re a girl and wanting to cosplay him, then do the fem! version. Basically, try to imagine the girl version, with long brown hair and probably wearing something over the wife beater. For a wig, just get a long brown wig. Duh. If you want to really be in the character, try to get contacts that are brown, seeing as he has brown eyes. A good site to get contacts would be at Honey Color. They specialize in realistic looking contacts.

Oh gosh I totally lost track, didn’t I? I guess I just gave you directions to cosplay the Wolverine. (・−・;)But uh, yeah, that’s cosplay...ahaha.....seeyounexttime! *runs away*

Merp.

Okay, so, I know, I know, you can all prepare the tomatos and angry rants towards me. You might have notice the changes I already made. I'm... *dramatic pause* .............I'm changing my blog, juuuuust a teeny tiny bit. Yes, I'm going to keep posting music, yes you will get to listen to new genres, but also, I need to make this blog something fun for me, not tedious and...blah. I need to make it so that this isn't a chore, which right now, it is. :\ So, most of the time you shall get music, but I'm also going to mix in a little of me. Why, you may ask? Well, you know...I'm narcissistic. *weak grin*
I promise the things I'm going to add to this blog isn't going to be bad, really. Just, I might have little rants about my life (usually about cosplay, Homestuck, fictional characters, or all of the above), art that I'm doing, and even sometimes my poetry with an explanation and maybe a story. That doesn't sound too bad...does it?
If you don't like what I'm doing, then by all means, leave. After all, this blog isn't made to suit what you fancy. Anywho, I'll be posting more often, now that I've stretched my boundaries. You all have fun with the crazy, special lady that is...me. So, have fun! Byeee~

Demons, by Imagine Dragons

For my next song, I want to take it back to some personal stuff. The next song is Demons, by Imagine Dragons. Why it’s personal to me is for many reasons. The first one is because it’s the song that is for the book I’m writing with my close friends. We’ve started this book a year ago, and it’s grown and grown, becoming a big part of our lives.   I’ve just grown attached to this song, I guess.
The next reason why it’s personal to me is because of the lyrics. I looked up some meanings, and there are many, but one struck me. I found that a lot of people relate this to their darkness inside them. The lyrics depict that maybe you’ve been hurt in the past, or maybe you’ve been thinking bad things. It talks about how the monster inside of you wants to be helped, but you’re afraid to burden yourself onto people, or you just are afraid to talk about it.

Don’t get too close
It’s dark inside
It’s where my demons hide
It’s where my demons hide

I like to think that it could also have to do with love. Maybe you love someone so much, but you’re afraid to be with them because you don’t want to be hurt, or maybe you don’t want to be hurt. So, you let them go.

Don't wanna let you down
But I am hell bound
Though this is all for you
Don't wanna hide the truth

Anyway, you can interpret this song in so many ways. Or maybe, you don’t even have to. The music and song itself is a beautiful song, and it can give you chills from the first time you listen to it. If you want to know more about this band’s music and other songs, you can go to Imagine Dragons’s website. Thanks for tuning in guys!

Icarus, By Bastille

To start off on my blog, I want to talk about my current favorite song, Icarus. I just recently started listening to Bastille, really. I'm only listening to a few songs of theirs, off of one of their popular albums, Bad Blood. Ah, I'm being sidetracked. ANYWAY.
The song always spiked my interest with the familiar title, and when I looked it up, I remembered that Icarus is actually a Greek legend. The legend was that Icarus and his father, Daedalus, were stuck on Crete. Crete is the island off of Greece. Anyway, so the story is that the father made wings out of wax, and the two escaped the island. Icarus, on the other hand, was so excited, so elated, he flew closer and closer to the sun, and his wings melted. Icarus plummeted to the Earth below, and was never found. It was clear that he had died though.
You may be wondering, what the heck does this have to do with the song?! Well, lemme tell you. The song doesn't have to do with Icarus at all, really. If you look at the lyrics, you would agree.

I interpret this song in a way that some might not. I think that really, this song is talking about just how short our lives are. Although, this isn't a You Only Live Once (YOLO) case. No, this is quite the opposite.

Look who's digging their own grave
That is what they all say
You'll drink yourself to death

In this, it's saying that while you continue to drink and drink, you'll eventually just die, not doing anything with your life but drinking. This song is telling you about how if you're a party animal all your life, being stupid and losing your innocence (Your hands protect the flames / From the wild winds around you), you won't get anything done; you'll always be a party animal. Everything about this song is talking about how bad the YOLO saying is, and how just wasting your life will bring an early grave; not a grave for your life, but for your soul, and personality.

Icarus is flying too close to the sun
Icarus's life, it has only just begun
This is how it feels to take a fall
Icarus is flying towards an early grave
